THE LAW OFFICES OF JENIFER WICKS

Ms. Wicks was born in the District of Columbia.  She graduated from the Maret School cum laude in 1987.  She graduated from Brown University in 1991 with a degree in psychology.  She graduated from the Georgetown Law Center in 1998, where she was a Public Interest Law Scholar.  She worked as a law clerk and then a staff attorney at the Public Defender Service from 1996 until 2000.  She was also a partner in Wicks & Dayson LLC.  Ms. Wicks handles complex criminal matters at all stages of the legal process - trial, appellate, and post-conviction.

Honors and Awards:

The District of Columbia Association of Criminal Defense Attorneys awarded Jenifer Wicks the 2008 R. Kenneth Mundy Lawyer of the Year Award for her tireless advocacy in trial and appellate advocacy, named after the late great attorney R. Kenneth Mundy.  Ms. Wicks was honored for her work assisting other attorneys in the criminal defense community as well as her numerous triumphs in the courtroom, including her tireless dedication in defending one of the alleged “Congress Park Crew”, which beat all narcotics conspiracy and RICO conspiracy charges.

Ms. Wicks was a Public Interest Legal Scholar at the Georgetown University Law Center.

Ms. Wicks won a Starr Fellowship for Community Service from Brown University for her commitment to the District of Columbia Community in high school.
